The experience

You're picked up and driven in a tandem sidecar (a motorcycle fitted to carry two passengers) to Liberty Station, where an accredited host meets you and walks through a wine flight or glass while telling you about the area's story. The sidecar is the transport and the experience at once: you're moving through San Diego at a pace that lets you see the neighborhoods, not locked behind car windows. After the first tasting, the driver takes you to Pali Wine Co. for a second stop, same setup: another host, another tasting, another look at a different part of the city.

The whole thing runs 2.5 hours from start to finish. You don't arrange the tastings, find the locations, or figure out how to get between them. The driver knows the route and the hosts are expecting you. What you bring is an appetite for wine and a willingness to ride in something you've probably never ridden in before.
