The experience

You meet at a small triangular beach by the parking lot, where you'll pick out a fitted water shirt and water shoes before anything else. The instructor runs through safety, paddling technique and pop-ups on the sand first: covering every question you have before the water. This matters: you're not guessing when you paddle out.

Then comes an hour in the water. Your instructor stays with you the whole time, towing you if paddling feels hard and pushing you onto waves until the motion clicks. Most people catch multiple waves standing on a first lesson. If not, you'll ride on your stomach: either way, the guarantee holds. The instructor is CPR and First Aid certified, and the lesson prioritizes safety above pace.
