The boat is small. You'll see "Islandview Hawaii" painted on the side when you arrive at the North Shore dock in Haleiwa. That's the whole operation right there, and it matters. No massive vessel, no crowds, no cage. Just a handful of people, a safety diver, and the open ocean off Oahu where the sharks actually live. You meet directly at the boat, and within minutes you're geared up with snorkel equipment and heading out to where the water deepens and the creatures show up.

The cage-free shark swim lasts about 30 minutes in the water, and it's nothing like what you've seen in films.
