The experience

You start on Main Street in Mesquite and head straight into desert backcountry and established trail systems. The Polaris Ranger handles towering red rock cliffs, deep canyons and wide-open valleys as you climb into the Virgin River Mountains for sweeping overlooks and winding terrain. The landscape shifts constantly, from hidden caves and waterfalls to lakes and rugged slopes where Bighorn Sheep move across the rocks. Bar 10 Ranch and Virgin River Gorge Canyon are among the iconic stops on the suggested route, though you navigate with a trail map and list of sites the operator provides.

The 8-hour option covers more ground and more of the backcountry. The 4-hour ride concentrates the same terrain into a shorter window. Both come with navigation equipment and a helmet and goggles fitted for the vehicle. Trails are designed for all physical fitness levels, so the ride is not about extreme difficulty. It is about the scale of the landscape and the control you have over the machine as it moves through it. You handle the driving yourself. This is not a guided tour where someone else operates the vehicle.
