Ledgewood Adventure Course is an outdoor obstacle activity in New Jersey where you climb, swing and zipline through multiple circuits in the trees, each marked by difficulty level. The course takes about three hours from check-in through safety briefing and all obstacles. Minimum age is 12. Harness and gear are provided.

The experience

Each circuit contains a mix of 10 to 19 obstacles (rope swings, scrambling walls, hanging nets, wobbly bridges and suspended surprises) arranged so you pick the challenge level that matches your comfort. The color-coded system tells you the height and difficulty of each circuit before you start, so you're not guessing what you're walking into. You move through the course at your own speed, testing yourself against obstacles that build on each other rather than racing through them.

The day starts with check-in and a safety briefing, followed by a walk through a demonstration course so you know what to expect. That takes the guesswork out of the first real circuit. From there, you're working through the obstacles themselves. The physical part that takes up most of the three hours. The harness and all safety gear come with the booking.
