Step-by-step itinerary

E-bike tour through Redwood parks

  • Start e-bike tour in Redwood National Park
  • Ride under ancient redwoods and observe wildlife
  • Continue to Prairie Creek with ferns and meadows
  • Stop at Big Tree for short hike
  • Complete e-bike ride through scenic trails

The experience

You pedal into Redwood National Park on a quality e-bike, where the tallest redwood on earth stands among some of the oldest trees in the forest. The park holds elk grazing in open prairies, fox, deer, and birds moving through the canopy. Your guide leads you along trails that run parallel to Prairie Creek, pointing out the scale and age of what surrounds you: trees that were already ancient when Rome fell. The motor assist on the e-bike lets you focus on the landscape instead of the climb, and the 4-hour pace means you cover ground without rushing through it.

Halfway through the ride, you reach Big Tree and dismount for a short walk on Big Tree Circle Trail, one of the most visited spots in the redwood region. This is where the scale of the trees hits differently on foot. From there, the second half of the ride takes you deeper into Prairie Creek State Park, where lush fern understories, meadows, and babbling brooks line the route. The terrain shifts (more water, denser green, even bigger trees), and the e-bike's assist means the second half feels as fresh as the first.

Park entrance fees and the e-bikes themselves are built into your cost, so there are no surprises at the gate or the trailhead. Bring your own snacks and water for the ride. The guide will point out spots to stop and refuel. An English-speaking guide leads every tour, and the route is designed for all fitness levels. The e-bike does the heavy lifting, and your guide adjusts the pace to the group.
