Step-by-step itinerary

Electric mountain biking in Agoura Hills

  • Choose premium electric mountain bike
  • Wear full protective gear
  • Climb fire road through canyons
  • Stop for panoramic summit views
  • Descend on single track trail

The experience

You'll start on a fire road that climbs through the most beautiful canyons of Agoura Hills, powered by your choice of premium electric mountain bike. The e-assist takes the grind out of the ascent so you can focus on the scenery and the ride itself. Once you reach the summit, the group stops for a break to take in the panoramic views before the real payoff: a descent on some of the best single-track terrain in the area.

The trail is rated soft intermediate: technical enough to be engaging but not so gnarly that you're fighting the bike the whole way down. You'll have full protective gear from the start: Troylee Designs knee and elbow protection, gloves, and eye wear. The guide leads the ride in English or Spanish and keeps the group together through both the climb and the descent. Water and snacks are provided throughout.

Riders need at least a moderate level of physical fitness. The e-assist helps with the climb, but you're still pedaling and managing the terrain. The minimum age is 12. The whole experience takes about 2 hours from start to finish.

Is this one for you? This is a shared group ride led by a guide, so you follow the pace and the route rather than setting your own. It suits riders with moderate fitness who want the e-assist to handle the climb but still want to ride the technical descent themselves. The electric power makes the summit reachable without exhaustion, so you have energy left for the single track on the way down.
