The experience

Then the guide leads you through quiet residential streets and neighborhoods as you cross to the other side of the island, where Coronado Beach and the Hotel Del Coronado come into view. You stop here to explore the 1890s hotel and its grounds, learning about its history while the guide takes more pictures. This is the highlight of the route: time to walk the property and see why the hotel matters to the island.

The final stretch follows the shoreline toward the Coronado Bridge, an impressive span you'll see up close before heading back to where you started. The whole loop runs 90 minutes, and since you're on scooters the entire time, there's no walking required to cover the island's major sites.
