The experience

Your guide arrives at your Dubai hotel and drives you to Abu Dhabi, a 90-minute route that gets the distance out of the way before the sightseeing starts. The first stop is Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the world's largest mosque, clad entirely in marble with intricate Islamic decorations and space for more than 30,000 worshippers. You walk the grounds and take in the scale of it. This is not a quick photo stop.

From there the tour moves into the city center and the Heritage Village, where you see how Emiratis lived before the oil boom, then a photo stop at the dhow harbor and the Emirates Palace. Saadiyat Island comes next, the man-made development that will eventually hold museums and cultural institutions alongside the hotels already built there. Yas Island is the final stop, famous for its resort and entertainment complex. If you chose the Ferrari World option at checkout, your ticket is included and you can spend time there. The drive back to Dubai takes another hour and a half, and your driver drops you at your hotel.
