The Experience
The La Famille Express sits 2 miles offshore in some of the calmest water around the islands — just 8 feet deep. You'll ride out on your own jet ski (or as a passenger if you're under 17), circle the wreck at your own speed, and have an hour to explore it from the water. Each jet ski holds up to 2 passengers with a 400-pound weight limit. The shallow depth and calm conditions mean you're not fighting waves or currents; the wreck itself is the whole point of the ride.
You choose your group size when you book — options range from a single jet ski with 2 riders up to 6 jet skis carrying 12 people total. A guide in English leads the group out and back. Dry bags and compartments on each ski keep your phone, keys and wallet safe while you're on the water. The operator handles the logistics; you show up ready to ride.
Riders must be at least 17 to operate a jet ski solo. If you're 15 or 16, you can ride as a passenger with an adult at the controls. Anyone younger than 15 rides as a passenger only. The whole outing runs about an hour from start to finish.
