The experience

You throttle out from Long Bay Beach or Leeward Marine on your own jet ski (or share one with a partner) and head south across the turquoise water toward the shipwreck. The ride passes the TCI Conch Farm, a visible landmark on the way. The boat itself, La Famille Express, is a former Soviet Union vessel that serviced oil rigs before being decommissioned in 1992, then later renamed and used for freight out of Panama. It's been sunk deliberately and sits in shallow enough water that you can climb aboard once you arrive.

Once at the wreck, you get in the water and climb onto the deck. From there, you can jump or dive back into the water from 25 feet high, depending on your comfort level. The activity suits all ages and skill levels. A guide in English or French is with you throughout, and the whole outing runs about an hour.
