The experience

How do you get out on the water without renting a boat or booking a crowded tour? You take the controls of your own jet ski. The activity starts at Blue Haven Marina, where your guide meets you and walks through the training and safety setup before you board a brand new 2023 Yamaha. Once you're comfortable with the machine, your guide leads you out into the island waters. The route depends on what you want to find that day.

The La Famille Express shipwreck sits about 2 miles offshore and is the most common target, but the guide can also take you hunting for Jojo the Dolphin, a wild resident of Turks and Caicos waters and a national treasure. Beyond those named stops, the cays, sandbars and smaller shipwrecks scattered across the shallows are fair game. You're not following a fixed itinerary. You're exploring with someone who knows where to look. A second rider can join you on the same ski at no extra charge as long as they're at least 10 years old, so families often book one machine for two people.

The whole outing runs about an hour on the water. You get sunscreen, bottled water and the guide's commentary and storytelling as you go. Safety equipment is top-of-the-line and included, and the guide stays with you the entire time. This is not a drop-off rental.
