The day starts at the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the largest temple ever built in Artemis's honor. From there, the route moves into Ephesus itself, the best-preserved Greco-Roman city in Turkey and one of the world's largest open-air museums. You'll walk past the Temple of Hadrian, see the theater that once held 25,000 people, and spend time at the Library of Celsus, the highlight of the ancient city and the third-largest library of the ancient world. The tour ends in Sirince, an old Orthodox village that was originally settled by local Greeks. The houses mix Greek and Turkish architecture, and the village is known for wine production.
