The Experience

What does it feel like to step off a mountain? You arrive at the office in Fethiye, choose your pilot if you prefer, and ride in an air-conditioned vehicle up to Mt. Babadag. At 1700 meters, the runway opens onto the sea. Your instructor—licensed by the Turkish Aeronautical Association—handles the launch and the flight; you bring sunglasses and sports shoes and leave the rest to them. The equipment is fully checked and tested before you go up.

Once airborne, you're suspended above the water, the shoreline and the mountains. The flight gives you time to take photographs and simply be in the air.
