The experience

Two hours covers the whole arc: pickup from your Fethiye hotel or location in an air-conditioned vehicle, a scenic drive through forested slopes to the Babadag Mountain launch site, a safety briefing from your pilot, and the flight itself. You'll be strapped into a shared harness with an experienced pilot who handles the equipment and the air. Your job is to step off the mountain and stay still while the paraglide catches the thermals rising off the coast.

The altitude is 6,460 feet, and from there the Blue Lagoon sits below in clear water, ringed by golden sand and dense forest. Pilots can extend the flight by about twenty minutes if the weather holds, and if you want the adrenaline spike, your pilot can perform aerial acrobatics on the way down. The landing happens near the office, where you can review professional photos and video footage right after you touch ground. Those are available to purchase if you want to keep them.

Guides speak English, German, Russian or Chinese, and the company has been running these flights for ten years. You'll need sunglasses and sport shoes.
