The Experience

The day starts with hotel pickup and heads straight to the mountains. You'll drive a buggy off-road through the foothills of the Taurus range, passing local villages and mosques as the landscape opens up around you. The buggy work is the first half of the morning—navigating dirt tracks and uneven terrain, seeing how the land sits when you're not on a main road. After the driving, there's time for a swim and a buffet lunch before the second activity begins.

The afternoon moves to Koprulu Canyon for the rafting portion. You'll put on a life jacket and helmet, grab a paddle, and get into the river with an instructor guiding the group through white-water sections. The rapids are real enough that you should expect to get wet; the guide manages the pace and safety, but the current and the waves are what make this part work. The canyon walls rise around you as you move downstream, and the whole stretch takes the time it takes—not rushed, not leisurely, just the river's pace.

Everything needed is provided: helmet, life jacket, paddles, and the buggy itself. Bring a towel, a change of clothes for after, and shoes that can handle water (no flip-flops). Sunscreen and sunglasses help with the hours outdoors. Leave electronics behind unless they're waterproof; the day doesn't have downtime for phones anyway. Hotel drop-off closes out the loop at the end.
