The Experience

You start with hotel pickup and a drive to the Taurus Mountains, where the day splits into two paths. Both begin with hiking through Eagle Canyon—also called Tazı Canyon—where towering cliffs frame panoramic views and hiking trails wind through the landscape. This is where you'll spend the morning, moving at a pace the guide sets, stopping to photograph the canyon and take in the scale of the rock formations around you.

After Eagle Canyon, you choose your afternoon. Option one takes you into Koprulu Canyon National Park for white-water rafting: you'll paddle through the river with a helmet and life jacket, moving through the water with other travelers in your group. Option two heads to Selge, the ancient city perched in the mountains, where you'll walk past the Adamkayalar rock formations, visit the Little Cappadocia area, and stand in the Roman theater—a 2,000-year-old structure still intact on the hillside. The guide narrates both routes in English and handles the transitions between stops.

Lunch arrives mid-afternoon at a spot by the river in Tazı Canyon, where you eat local food with the sound of water and the canyon walls as your backdrop. After eating, you either finish your rafting section or complete the final stops at Selge, depending on which option you chose at checkout. The day ends with a two-hour drive back to your hotel, where the guide drops you off by early evening.
