The experience

Antalya's Old Town workshop opens with 66 essences laid out in front of you, not a menu to read about, but bottles to smell and mix. The local guide walks you through how fragrances layer and balance, then steps back while you build. You're choosing from natural scents rooted in the region: orange blossom, citrus, laurel, thyme and pine all grow in the Mediterranean around Antalya, and they sit alongside vanilla, musk and amber so you can blend whatever pulls you. The guide is there to answer questions about how essences work together, but the decisions are yours.

Over 90 minutes, you move from smelling and testing to actually mixing your formula. The workshop provides all the materials (droppers, blending strips, the essences themselves), so you're not buying anything extra or bringing anything in. Once you've settled on your combination, it goes into a 50ml custom bottle you take home. That bottle is your souvenir and your proof that you know how to build a fragrance, not just wear one. Coffee or tea comes during the session, a small anchor while you're working.
