The experience

The jeep picks you up from your hotel and heads to the office to meet the guide and hear the day's plan: about fifteen minutes from most central locations. From there the drive climbs into the mountains and forest, passing through the "I Love Alanya" viewpoint where you stop for twenty minutes to take in the city below before the road narrows into the high country.

Oba River comes into view after the mountain pass, and you get a swimming break there before the jeep takes you inland to the village. You spend around forty-five minutes walking through the local bazaar, visiting a village house to see how people live, and looking inside the mosque. The village sits between the river and the forest, and the bazaar is where locals shop, not a tourist market. After the village, the jeep returns to Oba River for lunch at a picnic spot near a small waterfall. The meal offers two choices: fish or chicken, with open-buffet sides, and you can swim again in the river after eating. Around four in the afternoon the guide gives final information and the drive back to your hotel begins.
