The experience

Ephesus is one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the world, and the first day walks you through its highlights: the theatre (the largest Roman theatre of its time), the library of Celsus (the third largest in the ancient world), the agora, baths and temples. After Ephesus, you visit the House of Mary on Bülbül Mountain, where tradition holds she spent four years of her life: a site Pope Paul VI visited in 1967. The guide narrates the layers of history as you move through the ruins.

Day two shifts to Pamukkale, known as Cotton Castle for its white mineral terraces cascading down the mountainside. You walk across the terraces and swim in the natural thermal pools. Bring a towel and comfortable clothes for the water. Hierapolis, the ancient city that overlooks Pamukkale, is also part of the day. After the tour, the driver returns you to your hotel. The entire journey runs in an air-conditioned vehicle with pickup from your accommodation.
