Step-by-step itinerary
Explore Cape Bon's culture and nature
- Guided tour of Punic archaeological site
- Guided tour of Fort with sea view
- Guided tour of Hammamet Medina and photos
- Admire flamingos at Korba lagoon
- Visit Nabeul pottery workshop
- Visit thermal springs in Ain Atrous
The experience
The route moves through layers of the Cape Bon peninsula in a single arc. You start at the only Punic archaeological site still standing in the world, then move to Kelibia Fort, where the panoramic sea view frames the northern coast. The medieval medina of Hammamet opens next, with time to photograph the narrow streets and whitewashed walls before the group moves on. Lunch happens at the seaside, breaking the day's travel in the middle.
The second half turns toward the natural and artisanal. Korba lagoon is where you stop to watch flamingos, then Nabeul, the pottery capital of the region, where you walk through a working pottery workshop and see how the craft still operates. The day closes at the thermal springs in Ain Atrous, a foot bath in water heated underground. The whole circuit runs eight to nine hours with the same air-conditioned vehicle and guide throughout, so the stops build on each other rather than feeling rushed.
Your guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian, French or one of several other languages, and hotel pickup is included in the booking. Infants and small children can travel in a pram or stroller, and specialized infant seats are available if you need one. The pace suits all fitness levels. Most of the day is walking at a normal speed through sites and towns, with seated time in the vehicle between stops.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Arabic and Russian.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Youth (12 to 14 years); Child (3 to 11 years); Infant (under 3): free.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What is the Punic archaeological site at the start of the tour?
The Punic site is the only one of its kind still standing in the world, a remnant of the Carthaginian civilization that once dominated the Mediterranean. The guided portion walks you through the remains and their significance to the region's history.
How much time do I get to walk around the Hammamet medina?
The medina visit includes free time for photography and exploration after the guided tour, so you can move at your own pace through the medieval streets without the group moving on without you.
Will I see flamingos at Korba lagoon, or is it just a chance?
Korba lagoon is where flamingos gather, and the stop is built into the itinerary specifically to watch them. The birds are present in the lagoon, though the exact number and visibility depend on the season and time of day.
What happens at the pottery workshop in Nabeul?
You visit a working pottery workshop in Nabeul, the region's pottery center, and watch artisans at work. The visit is a tour of the craft in action rather than a shopping stop, though the workshop may sell pieces if you want to buy.
Is the thermal spring bath at the end of the day a full soak or just a foot bath?
The thermal springs at Ain Atrous offer a foot bath: a chance to soak your feet in the naturally heated water as the day winds down, not a full immersion.
