The experience
The boat leaves Krabi Town or Ao Nang in the early afternoon and heads out to seven named stops across the bay. Tup Island reveals a natural sandbank at low tide where you can walk between two islands on exposed sand; Chicken Island has a distinctive rock formation and good snorkeling; Poda Island offers a white sandy beach for swimming and underwater exploration. At Taming Island and around Pranang Cave, the reefs hold coral and fish. Each stop lets you snorkel, swim or simply rest on the sand, and the guide steers the timing so the day builds toward the evening's main event.
After sunset, the boat moves to a bioluminescent swimming spot where the water glows with plankton when disturbed. A natural phenomenon that depends on weather and sea conditions, so it is not guaranteed every night. This happens in the dark, and the guide is there to explain what you are seeing. The tour ends on Railay Beach with a buffet BBQ dinner, drinking water and fresh fruit, then returns you to your hotel by 7pm.
Round-trip transfer from Krabi Town or Ao Nang is included, along with a life jacket, snorkeling mask, first aid kit and accident insurance. A live English-speaking guide leads the group throughout. National Park fees (200 baht per adult, 100 baht per child) are paid separately at the entry point. An extra transfer charge of 100 baht per person applies if you are picked up from Klong Muang or Tub Kaek.
