The experience

The day starts with pickup from your Pattaya hotel around 8:30 AM and a ride to Bali Hai Pier, where you board a shared speedboat for the twenty-minute crossing to Coral Island. Once there, you have free time to swim, sunbathe on the white sand, or move straight into the water activities your package includes. Snorkeling gear is provided. The reef sits close enough to shore that you can wade in and see colorful tropical fish without a boat ride, though a glass-bottom boat option lets you view the coral without getting wet if you prefer.

Your package determines which other activities fill the day. Parasailing lifts you above the water for aerial views of the island and the coast; jet ski lets you ride solo or with a guide across open water; banana boat is a shared inflatable towed behind a speedboat; sea walking puts you on the seafloor in a helmet with air supplied from above. All water activities require a guide for safety, and some carry weight or age limits: parasailing has a 100kg cap, and children under five or adults over seventy do snorkeling and lunch only. A Thai-style lunch with vegetarian and meat options waits on the island before you head back to the speedboat around 4 PM for the return to Pattaya and your hotel by 4:30 or 5:00 PM.

Speedboat rides are shared with other guests, so you'll travel with a small group. Life jackets are mandatory and motion sickness can happen on the crossing, especially in the front seats.
