A 4-hour beginner rock climbing class at Railay Beach in Krabi teaches top rope climbing, belay techniques, safety and equipment use with a professional English-speaking guide. The Experience

Four hours is enough to move from zero climbing experience to standing on a real rock wall. You start at the Real Rocks shop for gear fitting, then take a taxi and long tail boat to Railay Beach (the mainland transfer is included). A professional guide walks you through top rope climbing, how to belay, safety measures and basic technique before you spend the bulk of the session actually climbing on the beach.

The guide speaks English and stays with you the whole time. All equipment—harness, rope, carabiners, everything you need—is provided. Bottled water is included, and the national park fees are covered in the price. You pick either a morning or afternoon session depending on what fits your schedule, and if you're staying in an Ao Nang hotel, pickup and drop-off are part of the booking.

The return journey mirrors the arrival: long tail boat back to Ao Nam Mao, then taxi to your hotel or the meeting point. Moderate physical fitness is expected, and children under 5 cannot participate. Pregnant travelers and anyone with a history of spinal injury should not book this class.
