The experience

You start with a guide who knows where the light hits best. The route moves through Phuket's photo spots in sequence: first to Promthep Cape, where hundreds gather to watch the sun drop into the Andaman Sea, then inland to Monkey Hill, a hilltop park with sweeping views of the town and offshore islands where monkeys move through the terraces most of the day. The guide handles the timing so you're not chasing light or crowds.

Phuket Old Town comes next: a grid of brightly painted, century-old Sino-Portuguese townhouses, with Thalang Road running through it lined with shops selling batik fabrics and artisanal ice cream. A Sunday market fills the same streets with souvenirs and street food: fried banana, seafood, sweets. The night market that follows is informal and sprawling, meat and seafood alongside fruits and other wares, the kind of place where the light is low and the energy is real. You finish at Bangla Road's walking street in the evening, when it fills up.
