The Experience

Hotel pickup starts the morning, and you'll pass the island's coastline with views over the Andaman Sea on the way to the safari camp. There an instructor gives you a brief ATV presentation before you mount the bike. The ride itself takes you through Phuket's mountain and countryside terrain—you follow the instructor's lead along the track, feeling the wind as you move through the landscape at pace.

The route ends at Big Buddha, where you stop to rest and learn the statue's history while taking in the panoramic views from that vantage point. It's the centerpiece of the ride, not a rushed photo stop. After you head back to the safari camp, the driver transfers you to your hotel. The whole outing runs about two hours from pickup to drop-off.

Safety gear is provided—helmet, protective equipment, and a raincoat on wet days. You get drinking water, a first aid kit, and accident insurance for the rider and passenger (though ATV damage is not covered by the policy). An English-speaking guide stays with the group throughout. Children between 4 and 11 years old, or under 130cm in height, can join as riders or passengers; there's no weight restriction, and all fitness levels are welcome. The instructor will ask you to follow their lead closely during the ride, and they have the right to stop any risky riding.

What happens if it rains on the day of my tour?
