The experience

The tour starts with a drive to Khao Tao Village, a working fishing harbor that has kept its profile as a peaceful place despite growing tourism. You'll see the boats and the daily life of the village, then visit Wat Tham Khao Tao on the north side of the hill, where Buddhist statuary sits in a concrete structure in front of a small real cave. The village sits in beautiful surroundings only fourteen kilometers from Hua Hin's long beach, and the freshwater lake here holds a shrine dedicated to King Rama IX, built when Khao Tao served as Thailand's first reservoir and a royal development project.

From there the route moves to Rajabhakti Park, a historically themed park with seven statues honoring Thai kings from the Sukhothai period through the current Chakri dynasty. Then you'll explore Baan Sillapin, the Hua Hin Artist Village, which houses large galleries of arts and antiques, working artist studios, and a coffee and gift shop. The final stop is Hin Lek Fai Mountain, a 162-meter hill three kilometers from town with six viewing platforms connected by walkways and bridges. The platforms offer the widest view of the coast and city, and the walk between them takes in the landscape without requiring strenuous climbing.

Your guide speaks English or Thai, and the air-conditioned vehicle handles all transportation between stops. Lunch and bottled water are provided. The tour runs six hours total, and the route is wheelchair accessible throughout, with all surfaces and areas accommodating mobility needs. Infants can travel in a pram or stroller, or sit on an adult's lap. Specialized infant seats are available on request.
