You knead the dough, layer the ragù, and eat the lasagna you made

A three-hour hands-on cooking class in Italy where you make traditional lasagna Bolognese, tiramisu and appetizers from scratch, then enjoy them with organic wines. The class runs in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and two other languages, and dietary restrictions are accommodated in advance. Children from age 6 are welcome.

The experience

This is not a demonstration: you work through every step yourself. You'll knead fresh dough with eggs and Swiss flour, layer the ragù and béchamel, and shape the pasta sheets the way the host's family has for years. The tomato sauce comes from the garden. The tiramisu follows a recipe passed down through generations. Organic, Demeter-certified ingredients go into everything, and the class moves at a pace that lets you actually learn the technique, not just watch it happen.

Once the lasagna is ready to bake, you move to the table. Caprese or bruschetta opens the meal, followed by the lasagna you made, then tiramisu. Red and white wines from Piemonte and other regions, organic options included, pair with each course. The host brings music and a lively Italian atmosphere to the table, and you eat without paying extra for any of it. Dietary needs are handled in advance: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergy concerns all get built into the menu before you arrive.

The whole experience runs three hours. Public transport reaches the location, and the space is wheelchair accessible. Children from age 6 can join. The guide speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and two additional languages, so the instruction flows in whatever works for your group.
