A nostalgic funicular and the world's first open-air cable car (CabriO) carry you to the summit. After a soft landing in Stans, transport returns you to the base station. Pilots with over 30 years of experience adapt the flight intensity to your wishes, and no prior experience is needed. Just a 3–4 step run to launch.

The experience

You start at the base of Mt Stanserhorn and ride a historic funicular up the mountain, then board the CabriO (an open-air cable car that is the first of its kind in the world) to reach the launch point at nearly 2000m. The view alone justifies arriving early. When conditions are right, your pilot signals the takeoff: you run 3–4 steps together, and the ground drops away.

The flight lasts a minimum of 20 minutes and can stretch to 60 minutes depending on wind and thermals. You fly in a lying position, head-first like a bird, which is faster and more intense than paragliding. Your pilot (trained over 30 years in the sport) reads the air and adapts the flight to what you want: smooth and peaceful cruising along the ridges, or dynamic turns and climbs if you're after the rush. The helmet and harness are provided, and you wear whatever suits the weather at altitude.

After landing softly in Stans, a driver takes you back down to the cable car base station to complete the three-hour experience. High-resolution photos and video of the flight are available as an add-on if you want proof of what you just did.
