Flyboarding in St Kitts is a 30-minute water sport where you strap into motorized boots, rise above the water with instructor guidance, and learn to dive and maneuver. Professional instructors work with anyone from age 8 onward; the activity stays close to shore so friends and family can film the whole thing.
The Experience
After a life vest and safety briefing on the beach, you'll wade into the water and get fitted into the flyboard boots. Once everything is secure, the instructor takes you out past the swimming zone and powers up the jets. You start with small flights just a few feet above the surface — enough to get the feel of it — then gradually climb higher as your confidence builds. The whole session runs 30 minutes, and your friends watching from the beach get clear sightlines for photos and video the whole time.
The instructors know how to get anyone airborne. Even if you've never done anything like this, they'll give you the tips that make the difference between wobbling and flying. Once you've got the basics down, they'll teach you how to flip and dive through the water like a dolphin — the part that usually ends up in the best videos. The activity happens close enough to shore that the crew can keep an eye on you and adjust the power as you go.
