The experience

Each buggy seats two people, and you're booking per vehicle. Your guide is a born-and-bred islander who navigates the route and shares knowledge of local flora, fauna and island history as you drive through terrain other tours don't reach. The ride mixes on-road and off-road sections, moving through old cane trails, mountain passes and local back roads at a pace the guide controls.

Bottled water comes with the booking. Midway through, you'll pull into a local beach spot (a hangout for both tourists and islanders), where you can buy fresh fish, food and drinks at the on-site bar. If you book the 11 am tour, the day flips: you start with beach time, then head into the driving portion afterward. Pickup is included. The guide meets you and leads the way.
