The Experience
The boat leaves Carambola Beach Club and heads down the Caribbean coastline for about 90 minutes, passing turquoise water and dramatic homes before arriving at Shitten Bay. Once there, you put on the snorkel gear—provided and fitted to your shoe size—and enter the water to explore. The reefs are the main draw, but a shipwreck sits on the bottom too, and the bay is known for turtles and stingrays that move through the same area.
After snorkeling, the boat returns to Carambola Beach Club, where you can spend the rest of the day. The beach has chairs, umbrellas, bathrooms and restaurants, so you can dry off, eat and stay without having to leave or arrange anything else. The guide speaks English or German and stays with the group throughout.
