Two hours on the water: jet ski the volcanic edge, snorkel a shipwreck cove, spot turtles and rays

Lifejacket, jet ski and snorkeling equipment are included; you choose between riding solo or with a second person on one jet ski at checkout.

The Experience

The tour leaves from Cockleshell Beach, where the watersports center sits on white sand with views across to Nevis. You'll have time to walk the beach before or after if you arrive early. Once you're suited up with a lifejacket and briefed by your guide, you ride the jet ski south along St. Kitts' most dramatic stretch—volcanic rock formations rise from the water as you follow the guide's lead toward the Caribbean side of the island.

The route crosses flat water in front of Christophe Harbour before reaching Shitten Bay, a sheltered cove only reachable by water. You tie up and spend about an hour snorkeling with your guide, who points out the reef fish, turtles and stingrays moving through the bay and shows you the shipwreck. The gear—mask, fins, snorkel—is provided; you just need to be comfortable in the water.

After snorkeling, you head back to Reggae Beach Bar, where you can order cocktails, rent a chair and umbrella, or sign up for other water sports if you want to stay on the water longer. The whole outing runs about two hours from start to finish.
