The Experience

You ride your own quad bike from the starting point into Teide National Park, climbing toward El Teide volcano. The route passes through century pine forest and crosses Vilaflor, an emblematic village in the south of Tenerife, before reaching the high vantage point where you can see the volcano's last lava flow and, in clear weather, glimpses of other Canary Islands. A helmet is provided and the guide speaks your language—English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian or one of three others—answering questions as you go.

Small groups only means the guide can watch each rider's pace and adjust the route accordingly. The two to three hour duration depends on how comfortable you are on the bike; the operator runs a family business and emphasizes safety throughout. Because you operate the quad yourself, the day is shaped by your own riding, not by a fixed schedule or a guide's narration from the front seat.

A physical driving license must be in your possession for the entire excursion—no digital or photo versions are accepted. Anyone living outside Europe needs an international permit. Maximum weight per quad is 160kg. The starting point is best reached by Google Maps, not Waze. Public transportation options exist nearby if you need them.
