The Experience

Eight hours starting from an authorized activity center, you head first to Cala S'Almunia with snorkeling gear already packed. The cove sits ringed by limestone cliffs and old fishermen's houses; you walk down steps straight into the water. The guides demonstrate cliff jumping at different heights before you try, so you can choose your level and move through it safely. The rock formations are built for this — natural platforms rising from the sea.

Next is Caló des Moro, the postcard cove with turquoise water framed by white cliffs. You swim and relax while the guides point out the angles most visitors miss for photos, then move into the water to snorkel and watch the marine life below. The water is clear enough to see the bottom in most spots. Afterward you have time to rest before the afternoon shift.

In the afternoon you move to Cala Santanyí, a Blue Flag beach with fine white sand and calm, clear water — the setup for paddle surfing. The guides walk beginners through balance, paddling technique and how to read the water, then leave room for anyone already confident to try tricks or just glide. The views from the board are the point: the cliffs stay visible the whole time, and the water stays shallow enough to stand if you need to. All equipment comes with you — snorkeling gear, paddle boards, beach towels, sun umbrellas, a cooler with ice and bottled water. An air-conditioned vehicle handles the transport between coves, and a portable changing room is set up at the beach.

Top questions

What is Caló des Moro like for someone who's never jumped off a cliff before?

Caló des Moro has natural rock platforms at different heights rising from the water, and the guides demonstrate each level first and stay with you as you try. You choose which height feels right and can skip it entirely if you prefer — the cove is worth visiting just for swimming and snorkeling.

Do I need paddle surfing experience to join this activity?

No. The guides provide full instruction for beginners at Cala Santanyí, covering balance, paddling and water reading. If you already have experience, you can push into more advanced techniques or simply enjoy the glide across calm water.

What happens if I'm not a strong swimmer?

This activity is not recommended for non-swimmers. The snorkeling and paddle surfing both require comfort in the water, and while the guides are present throughout, the coves are not designed for people who cannot swim independently.

Is lunch included in the eight hours?

Lunch is not included. The day includes bottled water, a cooler with ice and beach setup, but you'll want to bring food or plan a stop for a meal during the afternoon break between snorkeling and paddle surfing.

How do I get to the starting point, and what time does the day begin?

Pickup is included from your accommodation. The specific start time depends on the season and the operator's schedule — confirm the exact departure when you book.

What's included in the snorkeling and paddle surfing equipment?

Full snorkeling gear (mask, fins, snorkel), paddle boards, beach towels, sun umbrellas, a cooler with ice and bottled water are all provided. An air-conditioned vehicle transports you between the three coves, and a portable changing room is set up at the beach.
