The experience

You start in Puerto de la Cruz and ride your own quad through roads and dirt tracks that climb toward the mountain, passing through banana farms and village roads known mostly to locals. The route opens onto views of Teide and the northern coast: the kind of vantage point a closed vehicle never gives you. At least 30 minutes of the 2.5 hours is pure off-road driving on dirt and volcanic black sand, where the adrenaline comes from the terrain itself, not from speed.

Halfway through, you stop at a panoramic viewpoint to eat and drink (both included) and let the ride settle. Your guide carries a camera for photos and video of you riding: the kind of documentation that actually shows what happened, not a posed shot at the entrance. Safety starts before you leave: a briefing covers the quad and the route, and you get a helmet, gloves (in winter, an oilskin coat too), and a guide who stays with the group. The guide speaks English or Spanish, so language is not a barrier to understanding the terrain or the instructions.

The mandatory requirement is a valid physical B driver's license, not a photo, not a copy, not a digital version.
