A 4-day PADI Open Water certification course in Costa Adeje with a private instructor, online e-learning materials, full diving equipment and five confined water sessions plus four open water boat dives. The course is built around your holiday schedule, and your certification qualifies you to dive to 18 meters with any other Open Water Diver for life. Children from age 10 are welcome. The experience

You start with e-learning materials to complete online before arriving, then meet your instructor for a confined water session in the bay to cover the fundamentals and check your comfort level in the water. From there, the rest of the course is planned around your holiday plans, whether you have four consecutive days free or need to spread the sessions across your trip. The five confined water sessions build your skills step by step, each one covering a different set of exercises and safety procedures that form the foundation of safe diving.

Once you're ready, you move to four open water boat dives at different dive sites around Costa Adeje. These aren't confined to a pool or shallow bay. You're diving from a boat to real reefs and underwater landscapes, practicing the exercises you've learned while actually exploring the marine life around you. The instructor stays with you throughout, watching your technique and making sure you're comfortable at depth. By the end of the fourth dive, you've logged the hours and demonstrated the skills required for your Open Water certification.

The course includes all the equipment you need (wetsuit, tank, regulator, buoyancy control device, mask, fins), so you don't bring or rent anything separately. Private transportation picks you up from your accommodation and brings you to the dive sites and training locations. Your instructor speaks English, Spanish, Italian or French, and the course is open to anyone from age 10 who can swim and is comfortable in the water.

Is the diving equipment included, or do I need to bring my own?

The full kit of diving equipment is included: wetsuit, tank, regulator, buoyancy control device, mask and fins. You don't need to bring or rent anything separately.

How long is my PADI Open Water certification valid?

Your Open Water Diver certification is valid for life once you complete the course. You can dive anywhere in the world with any other Open Water Diver or higher, and there's no expiration date on the card.
