Diving in Menorca: Double Certified Dives in Isla del Aire
Two dives on the same morning, reefs and caves on the southeast coast.
Double Diving Qualified Dives in the Isla del Aire Marine Reserve is a scuba activity in Menorca for certified divers, consisting of two boat dives on the southeast coast with an expert instructor guiding you through reefs, caves and seagrass meadows. The first dive departs at 9:30, the second at noon, with more than 15 dive points within 10 minutes by boat. Diving instructor, marine reserve fees and boat transport are included; diving equipment and insurance are available to rent or add at checkout. Children from age 10 with certification are welcome.
The Experience
What makes the Isla del Aire Marine Reserve worth two dives instead of one? The southeast coast of Menorca holds more than 15 dive sites clustered close enough that the boat moves between them in under 10 minutes, so you spend the morning exploring different reefs, caves and posidone meadows without long surface intervals eating into your time underwater. The first dive starts at 9:30, the second at noon, giving you a full morning of diving without the fatigue of a full-day commitment.
You arrive at the dive center, check in with your instructor, and board the boat for the first site. The activity is designed for divers who already hold a certification card — no training dives, no pool work, just the water itself. Your instructor leads both dives and carries the responsibility for the group's safety and navigation. Bottles and weights are included; if you need additional gear beyond what you bring, the dive center rents it on-site. Visibility in the reserve is exceptional, which is why the caves and reef structures are worth the trip.
The boat returns to the center by early afternoon, leaving the rest of your day free. The whole activity runs about 4.5 hours from start to finish, including the surface interval between dives and the boat ride back to shore. Public transportation options are nearby if you're not driving yourself, and the dive center can arrange pickup if you ask when you book.

Can I dive in Menorca if I don't have a certification card yet?
No, this activity is for certified divers only. The two dives on the southeast coast assume you already know how to use your equipment and follow dive protocols. If you're not certified, you would need to complete a certification course elsewhere before booking this one.
What's the difference between the first dive at 9:30 and the second dive at noon?
Both dives are on the same morning at different sites along the southeast coast. The first dive starts at 9:30, and after you surface and rest on the boat, the second dive begins at noon. You're exploring different reefs, caves or meadows each time, so two dives let you see more of the marine reserve than one would.
Do I need to bring my own diving equipment, or is it included?
Bottles and weights are included in the activity. If you have your own wetsuit, mask, fins and regulator, bring them. If you need any of that gear, the dive center rents it on-site; diving insurance is also available to add at checkout if you want it.
How long does the whole activity take, and when will I be done?
The activity runs about 4.5 hours from arrival to return, including both dives, the surface interval between them, and the boat ride back to the dive center. You'll be back on shore by early afternoon, leaving time for lunch or other plans.
Are there dive sites close to each other, or do we spend a lot of time traveling between them?
The Isla del Aire Marine Reserve has more than 15 dive points on the southeast coast, and the boat reaches any of them in less than 10 minutes. That means you spend your time underwater, not waiting on the surface between sites.
Can children dive with this activity?
Children are welcome from age 10, provided they hold a valid diving certification. The instructor will guide them the same way as adult divers on both dives.
