The Experience

The flight lasts between 12 and 15 minutes, long enough to see the arc of the coast from Cala Mastella around to Cala Nova and the Tagomago reserve. You board the boat at the north shore, the crew handles the parachute and harness setup—no effort needed—and then you're towed up and out over the water. The views drop straight down: the coves are small and rocky, the water is clear enough to see the bottom in the shallows, and the beaches are narrow strips of sand tucked between cliffs. On the way back to shore the boat plays music and serves soft drinks and water.

The crew speaks English, Spanish, German and Dutch, so language is not a barrier. They provide approved life jackets and take photos of you in the air; those photos come with the flight. If you want video of the whole thing—the takeoff, the flight, the landing—you request it from the captain at checkout and they film it in HD on a GoPro. That's the only add-on; everything else is included in the base price.

The whole outing runs about 90 minutes from arrival to departure. Public transport stops are nearby if you're not driving, and the company is the only parasailing operator on the north side of the island, so there's no hunting for alternatives once you've booked.
