Walk the steep cliffs and old fishing routes at your own pace, with a swim halfway through.

This guided hike follows the limestone coastline between Moraira and Cala del Moraig, with a swimming break at Cala Llebeig halfway through the day. You walk from El Portet de Moraira through Cap d'Or and past the romantic stone houses of Cala Llebeig, then continue on an easy marked path to end at a glamping pool bar. The route has spectacular views across the Marina Alta from Peñón de Ifach to Cabo de la Nao, and the guide adjusts the pace and timing to suit your group.

The experience

How much time do you actually spend on the water versus on the trail? The swimming break at Cala Llebeig lasts about an hour, but you can stretch it or cut it short depending on how you feel. The hike itself splits into two sections: the first from El Portet de Moraira to Cala Llebeig crosses steady rocks and counts as medium difficulty, with the best views of the entire coastline. The second half from Cala Llebeig to Cala del Moraig is easy walking on a well-marked, wide path that runs below the limestone walls of Cumbres del Sol.

The day starts at 9am and wraps up around 8 or 9pm, but neither is fixed. If you want to head back earlier or stay out longer, the guide arranges it. There are no rigid time checkpoints: the group sets the rhythm, and the guide builds in breaks whenever people need them. Coffee and tea come with you. Bring your own lunch and at least 1.5 liters of water. You get one free bottle of water per person to start, and sunscreen and hiking boots are essential.

The route passes through Cala Llebeig, a small rock and stone beach where old fishermen's houses cling to the cliff face, giving the spot a sense of history. After the swim, the path widens and the walking becomes straightforward, ending at a glamping spot with a pool and a relaxed atmosphere. The hike depends on good weather. If conditions turn, you reschedule for another day.
