The Experience

You meet at Taurito Beach, get fitted with safety gear and paddling instruction, then launch into the water as the cliffs rise around you. The route follows the rocks and coastline toward your first stop—sea caves you can paddle into depending on the swell. Each cave is different, and the guide chooses which ones are safe to enter on the day. You'll paddle past a string of small, quiet beaches on the southwest coast, the kind most visitors never reach by land.

Tiritaña is where the day opens up. This unspoilt beach is your base for the next stretch: swim in the water, lie on the sand, play beach tennis or frisbee, or put on snorkeling glasses and explore the shallows. An included picnic of fruit, chocolates, nuts, cookies and water is waiting—fuel for the rest of the afternoon. If you want the adrenaline rush, the water zip line is there: you strap in and fly across the water on a line only this operator runs.

The paddle back to Taurito takes you along the same coast in reverse, finishing by 2pm. The operator promises an "adventurous surprise" at the end, though what that is stays a secret until you arrive.
