The experience
The boat leaves Corralejo port in the late afternoon, timed so you're anchored south of Lobos Island as the light hits the water. From the boat you'll see the Caldera Volcano rising 127 meters above the island and the Bocaina Channel: a five-kilometer strait between Fuerteventura and Lanzarote where both islands are visible on clear days. The water here runs only ten meters deep and holds some of the best surfable waves around the coast, though the main draw is the transparency: you're swimming and snorkeling in water clear enough to see the bottom.
Everyone gets access to snorkeling gear, a kayak, a stand-up paddle board and fins. There's enough time to try all of them or pick what appeals: some people spend the whole anchor period in the water, others paddle out and back. The boat carries beer, red and white wine, soft drinks, water, coffee and tea, so you're not managing thirst or energy on your own. If you want the trip adjusted (a focus on snorkeling over paddling, a romantic setup, a particular route), you can arrange it in advance.
The return to Corralejo port happens before dark, so the whole outing fits inside the three-hour window. Groups stay at six people under the base price. If your party is seven or more, you pay a supplement of €65 per extra person directly on the boat.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English, Spanish and Italian.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24h before the start.
Can I bring my own snorkel gear or do I have to use what's on the boat?
Snorkeling equipment is provided on board, so you don't need to bring your own. The gear includes fins and everything you need to enter the water safely.
What's the Bocaina Channel and why does it matter for this trip?
The Bocaina Channel is a five-kilometer strait between Fuerteventura and Lanzarote where Lobos Island sits in the middle. The water stays shallow, only ten meters deep, and creates perfect sailing conditions and world-class waves, making it one of the best places to anchor and swim off the coast.
How does the departure time work if it changes every day?
The boat leaves based on the solar calendar for each excursion, so the timing shifts to catch the longest sunset possible. You'll be told your exact departure time when you book, and it's set to get you anchored and settled before the light starts to turn.
Is this trip suitable if I'm not a strong swimmer?
The trip is suitable for all physical fitness levels. You can stay on the boat, wade in the shallow water near the anchor, or use a kayak or paddle board to stay afloat while snorkeling. The crew will help you get comfortable in the water.
What if my group is larger than six people?
The base price covers up to six people. Groups of seven or more pay a supplement of €65 per extra person, which you settle directly on the boat when you arrive.
