The experience
What makes this different from buying a postcard is that you're the one making it. You start by shaping your piece from air-dry clay: no wheel, no intimidating equipment, just your hands and the material. The workshop sits 10 minutes' drive from Ciutadella in a setting built for slowing down. Once you've shaped what you want, you step back for a break: coffee, juice, and homemade snacks arrive while the clay begins to dry.
Then comes the part most people don't expect to enjoy, the painting. You choose from a full range of colors, or you can leave the natural clay tone if that's what appeals to you. There's no "right" way to do it. After you've painted, the final step is varnishing, which makes your piece water-resistant and ready to live on a shelf or get actual use. Whether you've thrown pots before or never touched clay in your life, the guide walks you through each stage without rushing. By the end, you have something handmade that actually came from your own choices and effort.
The whole session runs 2.5 hours. The guide speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, or French, and children from age 12 are welcome to join. All materials and tools are included, so you arrive empty-handed and leave with a finished piece.
