Haedong Yonggungsa Temple sits on a sea cliff and opens the day: a Buddhist site where you walk the grounds and learn how the temple fits into Korean spiritual life. From there, the guide takes you to Gamcheon Culture Village, a neighborhood that started as a refugee settlement during the Korean War and has since been regenerated with painted houses and narrow alleys that climb the hillside. You walk through the lanes at your own pace, and the guide explains the history behind the place and what you're seeing.

Haeundae Beach comes next, Korea's most popular stretch of sand and water. The tour includes a visit to Camellia Island and the APEC Summit House, both on the beach grounds, so you get the sea scenery and the landmarks in one stop. After that, you head to Gukje Market, Busan's biggest local market, where you can walk the vendor alleys and see what the city buys and sells. The guide knows the market and can point out what matters.
