Two thousand years of history stacked in layers of one wall.

A Belgrade Segway tour is a guided ride through the city's landmarks on electric vehicles, covering sites from Roman times through World War history to modern Belgrade. The tour runs roughly three hours with a professional guide in English, Russian, Italian, German or Serbian; helmet and beverages are included. Children from age 4 can join when accompanied by an adult, and groups stay under ten riders.

Step-by-step itinerary

Explore Belgrade by Segway

  • Learn about the tours
  • Pass by Knez Mihailova Street
  • Visit monuments and historical sites
  • Explore 19th century Belgrade streets

The Experience

The tour covers Knez Mihailova Street, the medieval castle ruins, the bastion where World War 1 started, Tito's bunker, a Roman well beneath the city, the Military Museum, and "The Victor"—Belgrade's trademark symbol. You'll also pass the sports fields where Partizan and Red Star were founded, see weapons from both World Wars, and ride past monuments to France and Russia. The Segway handles all of it: it's electric, quiet, and permitted in pedestrian areas, so the route stays accessible without the noise or pollution of a car.

The guide walks you through the controls before you start—they're intuitive enough that anyone can master them quickly. From there, the day unfolds as a moving conversation through the city's layers. You'll stop at the XIX century Belgrade neighborhoods of Kralja Petra Street and Kosancicev Venac, known as the Montmartre of Belgrade. The helmet is provided, and beverages come along the way.

A minimum of two people per booking means you won't ride alone, and the maximum of ten keeps the group small enough to hear the guide and move together without a crowd. Children must be with an adult, and the tour isn't suitable for anyone with spinal injuries or pregnant travelers; moderate fitness helps, since you're balancing and steering for nearly three hours.
