The experience
Ten hours from Bucharest takes you to the Carpathian Mountains for the core of the day: snowmobiling. At the base, you get a full protective suit, helmet and instruction from a guide, then set off on forest trails that climb toward the peak. The route follows the contours of the mountain, winding through snow-covered woodland and opening onto views of the range itself before the descent back down.
After the snowmobile ride, the day shifts to Sinaia, where you board a cable car that climbs to 2,000 meters. The ascent takes you above the tree line to a vantage point over the surrounding peaks and valleys. From there, you head to the gardens of Peleș Castle to settle into the final hours: coffee or a dessert made by the Royal House's producers, eaten in the grounds of the castle itself.
Hotel pickup and drop-off in Bucharest bookend the day, and the vehicle is air-conditioned for the drive. The snowmobile rental fee is separate from the tour price.
