The experience
How does a half-day of riding sound when you don't want to spend the whole day in a car? You get picked up from your Bucharest hotel between 9:30 and 10:30 in the morning, or at another time if you request it. Early or afternoon departures are available. The driver takes you an hour out to the forests and hills of southern Romania, where the actual riding begins.
Once you arrive, you and one other person share a brand new ATV buggy and ride for two hours through the terrain. A live guide in English leads the group, and you're operating the vehicle itself. This is not a sightseeing tour where someone else drives. Bottled water is provided during the ride. After the two hours are done, your driver brings you back to the hotel, completing the whole experience in four to five hours.
The setup works well if you're looking for adrenaline and action but don't want to commit a full day or spend hours traveling. Children from age three are welcome on the ride.
