The experience
The day starts with a camel ride and a photo stop with a falcon, then moves straight into the vehicle for dune bashing across the desert. After a 30-minute drive over the dunes, you'll stop at the top of a high dune to capture panoramic views of the landscape stretching in every direction. The driver handles the route and the timing. You focus on the ride itself.
The second half pivots to the Inland Sea (Khor Al Adaid), where the desert meets the water. On the way there, you'll stop for sandboarding on soft dunes: a break from the vehicle and a chance to move at your own pace. Once you reach Khor Al Adaid, the day slows down. You can swim in the Arabian Sea if you want, explore the shoreline, or simply sit and watch the light change as the sun drops toward the horizon. The sunset views here are the payoff for the morning's thrills.
A professional English-speaking driver manages the vehicle and the stops throughout. Bottled water is provided, and the route includes several photo breaks built in. The experience is designed to pack the full range of desert activities (speed, animals, sand sports, water and landscape) into a single afternoon or morning, depending on which departure time you choose at checkout.
Is this one for you?Choose the Sunrise Jeep Safari if you want to start early and catch the desert light before the heat builds, or pick the Sunset option if you prefer a later departure and want the final hours focused on the Inland Sea and the colors at dusk. The Private Jeep Safari keeps the group to your party alone, while the other options may include other small groups sharing the vehicle and the stops.

Top questions
What is the Inland Sea and what can you do there?
Khor Al Adaid (the Inland Sea) is where the desert meets the Arabian Sea, a rare natural formation in Qatar. Once you arrive, you can swim in the water, walk along the shore, or simply relax and take in the views. The stop is unrushed and you decide how to spend your time there.
How much of the day is spent in the vehicle versus on the ground?
The 30-minute dune drive is the longest continuous stretch in the 4x4. The rest of the time breaks into stops: the camel ride and falcon photo at the start, a photo break at the top of a dune, sandboarding on the way to the Inland Sea, and then time at the water itself. You're moving and stopping throughout rather than sitting for long stretches.
Can you choose between a sunrise, sunset or midday departure?
Yes. The tour offers four departure options at checkout: Sunrise Jeep Safari, Sunset Jeep Safari, Chillax Jeep Safari Adventure, and Private Jeep Safari. Each follows the same route and activities but starts at a different time, so you can pick the light and pace that suits your schedule.
Is sandboarding something you've done before, or will the driver teach you?
Sandboarding is included as a stop on the route, and it's designed as a fun break rather than a lesson. The driver will guide you to the spot and explain what to do, but it's an informal activity you try at your own comfort level on the soft dunes.
