Step-by-step itinerary
Explore springs and local culture
- Drive through Caguas city
- Eat lunch at Guavate Pork Route
- Visit Caribbean Sea vista
- Explore secret Cold Spring
- Relax at Hot Spring
- Stop for ice cream or coffee
The experience
The tour starts by driving through Caguas, the "Ciudad Criolla," then heads toward Cayey and the Pork Route, Guavate, where you eat lunch before the springs. The route passes a vista of the Caribbean Sea on the way to the cold spring, a freshwater pool tucked away from the usual tourist stops. After swimming and exploring there, you move on to the thermal hot spring for soaking and rest. A licensed guide in English or Spanish leads the whole day, and the vehicle is air-conditioned for the drive between sites.
The cold spring is the kind of place locals know and visitors rarely find on their own. The thermal spring at the end gives you time to soak without the infrastructure of a resort. Bottled water and facility fees are covered, so you're not paying extra at each stop. The day wraps with a short break for ice cream or coffee before heading back.
What’s included
- Bottled water.
- landing and facility fees at both springs.
- air-conditioned vehicle for the full 8 hours.
- licensed guide fluent in English and Spanish.
- ice-cream or coffee stop on the return drive.

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What exactly is the Pork Route, and where do we eat lunch?
Guavate, known as the Pork Route, is a stretch in Caguas famous for roasted pork restaurants. You eat lunch there as part of the tour before moving on to the springs.
Can I swim in both the cold spring and the hot spring?
The cold spring is a freshwater pool where you can swim and explore. The hot spring is for soaking and relaxation rather than active swimming.
How long does the tour actually take, and what's the pace like?
