The Experience

I didn’t expect the first stop to smell so much like toasted bread and strong coffee—honestly, I thought we’d just drive straight to the Douro Valley, but our guide (Miguel, who knew everyone by name) insisted we start at this tiny café where farmers actually drink port for breakfast.
